Streatham’s local
theatre company


The wonderful Streatham Hill Theatre opened in 1929, was closed by bombing in 1944 and returned as a theatre in 1950. It succumbed to bingo in 1962 and remained as such until Beacon Bingo closed in 2017.


The recently formed Friends of Streatham Hill Theatre (FoSHT) would like to see the building brought back into use as a performance venue and arts centre. They can be contacted as follows:
